Sabeel Students Rise with Purpose

With just one week of Ramadan remaining, the energy across Sabeel is electric. The annual Cohort Fundraising Competition 2025 is in full swing, and every cohort, brothers and sisters alike, is locked in a passionate, purposeful effort to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza, in partnership with charity organisation One Ummah.

This year’s campaign is focused on delivering critical humanitarian aid to those suffering unimaginable hardship. And the Sabeel community is stepping up in a truly remarkable way. Students are not just learning, they are living their knowledge, translating it into action, and showing what it means to be active members of the Ummah.

The total raised is above three-quarters of a million and the students are working hard to reach the £1 million mark. A powerful testament to the collective effort, sincerity, and drive of the students.

The momentum continues to build as cohorts push forward to hit and even surpass the target, all for the sake of Allah and in support of those in desperate need.

The mashaykh at MRDF are not on the sidelines as they are actively involved. Their presence and reminders keep the focus on sincerity, intention, and striving for Allah’s pleasure.

What truly defines this campaign is the spirit behind it. Students turn knowledge into meaningful service. They are not just fundraising, they are standing for their Ummah, embodying prophetic character, and proving that even from afar, we are never helpless.

One Ummah sent a thank you message to everyone in the video below showing what their donation was able to produce. A massive jazakumallahu khayran to everyone who is supporting the cause.

We ask Allah to grant us all tawfeeq to reach our target and beyond. More importantly, we ask Him to aid the Ummah, to grant them security, strength, and relief, and to allow the aid to reach them swiftly and effectively. Ameen.
