Say Hello to the new logo
Alhamdulillah, today we’re launching a new logo, as we start to refresh our look in general. We loved our old logo and look, and know how many of you felt the same. And yet, here we are to explain why we decided to evolve it.
Firstly, it’s not change for the sake of change. That said, change is inevitable, and something to be embraced, but that’s not a good enough reason to change a logo. A good reason to change a logo is that it’s not doing the job you want it to do—and because a simpler, more distinctive evolution of it could do that job better.
Our first logo was created when we first launched over 14 years ago. It was distinctive, appropriate for our direction and gave us a feel of want we wanted to establish.
For several years the logo hasn’t shown the sense of cohesion that we expected. So here we are. We hired a designer and working with our leadership team, worked to create a new and more cohesive visual identity.
It uses a simpler colour palette and, we believe, is more refined, and is easily recognisable. It’s an evolution, and one that can scale easily, and work better, in many more places.
Over the next few months, you’ll see all the other visuals around MRDF aligning around this new direction: on the website, in advertising, and in the services we provide. It’s still us. We’re still MRDF. But more consistent and with the same focus of building our future generations while providing guidance for communities to live upon the divine values that Islam blesses us with.
We ask Allah, the most-high to make this change beneficial for us and for our Akhirah.
TL;DR: We changed our logo!
