Special Guest Arrival!

MRDF Host Shaykh Bilal Ismail

We are delighted to share with you an exciting update from our recent guest visit to the MRDF office. On a crisp morning, we had the privilege of hosting Shaykh Bilal Ismail, a prominent figure in the field of Dawah from South Africa.

Shaykh Bilal's journey began in Durban where he memorised the Qur’an at a young age, and his quest for knowledge led him to graduate from the University of Madinah in Arabic, followed by a BA in Islamic Law from the faculty of Shariah. Shaykh Bilal, known for his passion and dedication to the world of Dawah, graced us with his presence for breakfast and an interactive session with our Shaykh, Farid Haibatan and the rest of the MRDF team. The morning was filled with insightful discussions about the challenges and triumphs of Dawah.

Shaykh Bilal passionately shared his experiences in the field of Dawah and highlighted both the advantages and disadvantages faced by those involved in spreading the message of Islam. Some hurdles he pointed out are that many Imams and students lack the basic resources and facilities for their studies, materials, transportation, and so on.

He shed light on his remarkable project known as the "Imam Development Programme" (IDP). This initiative, which he has been diligently working on for many years, aims to nurture and develop individuals who can serve as knowledgeable leaders in their communities.

It was truly inspiring to witness his enthusiasm and dedication to the cause. His presence served as a reminder of the remarkable impact scholars can have on their communities, even when faced with limited resources.

We are truly grateful to Shaykh Bilal Ismail for taking the time to share his experiences and wisdom with us. His visit was a source of motivation and a reminder of the importance of community-driven efforts in the field of Dawah.
