Competition has begun!

Sabeel has launched its annual Cohort Competition 2024!

It is that time where MRDF Mashaykh inspire the students to rise above and come together in supporting the Ummah. With the recent news of the genocide taking place in Gaza, this has affected us all and left many of us feeling helpless, but we should still remain hopeful.

As Ramadan is only weeks away, Sabeel has launched its much-anticipated cohort competition for the Gaza charity appeal. This unique competition pits Sabeel students against each other in a friendly challenge to see who can collect the most donations for the people of Gaza, as the ummah is in great need.

The launch event for this noble cause saw a turnout of around 70 students, both brothers and sisters, from various cohorts within Sabeel. The gathering was not just about competition, but also about understanding the gravity of the situation in Gaza and the vital role their donations can play in alleviating the hardships faced by its people.

Shaykh Shaqur and Shaykh Fuad took the stage to deliver inspirational reminders about the importance of sincere intentions and the impact of charitable giving in Islam. Their words resonated deeply with the attendees, setting the tone for the competition ahead.

Adding to the event's significance was a representative from Human Aid and Advocacy, the charity partner entrusted with delivering the donations to Gaza. Through poignant videos and heartfelt speeches, the representative shed light on the dire circumstances faced by the people of Gaza, encouraging the students to channel their efforts towards this meaningful cause.

The timing of the competition was also strategic, starting before the month of Ramadan. This decision was made to encourage students to gear up and prepare for Ramadan, a time known for its generosity and giving spirit.

MRDF Mashaykh provided invaluable advice on always renewing intentions and emphasising the importance of raising funds solely for the sake of Allah.

The launch event was not just about information; it was a gathering of hearts united in compassion and action. Students left the event with a renewed sense of purpose, motivated to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

If you would like to be part of this noble cause, you can contribute on the donation page link below:
