MRDF submitted a Shadow Report to the Advisory Committee of Experts for the Framework Convention on National Minorities in response to the State Report by the United Kingdom under the 3rd Reporting Cycle of the Framework Convention on National Minorities.

The principle aim of the Shadow Report is to argue for the inclusion of Muslims within the FCNM’s scope of application on the basis of their religious identity. Official recognition by the State is then essential as a means to claiming the specific religious and general rights under the FCNM.
